We’re growing. . . Again ! ! !

Well folks, it’s happening again. Holy cow, is this really happening? We’re pleased and proud to announce that we are expanding our services to include an additional 3,000 square feet. We’ll stay at our current location at Suite 200, 200 Glenn Street in the Deal building above the VA medical clinic and across the railroad tracks from Value City. Basically what we’re doing is having the rest of the second floor remodeled to add an additional 4 private treatment rooms, a large central gym suite with exercise equipment including treadmills, bicycles, stepper, upper body bicycle as well as addition chronic pain treatment equipment such as e-stim, ultra sound, etc.
It’s hard to believe that when my wife, Debbie, and I got this all started we had 700 square feet on Seton Drive and we did the billing out of our home! Since that time we’ve added 11 employees and expanded Cumberland first to 4,000 square feet and now to 7,000 square feet, holy cow! As I was writing this newsletter I tried to figure out what could I contribute this to, what has brought on this success and increase in patient case load so dramatically in the last few years.
Well first of all I think we have to thank the people of the greater Cumberland area and Tri State area including South Central PA and the Eastern panhandle of WV. The patients have been first rate and very supportive of the state of the art services that we offer. Since we’ve opened we’ve added a number of services including the Anodyne Light Therapy, which is a treatment forperipheral neuropathy. It is also used for tendonopathy such as rotator cuff tendonitis, and tennis elbow; as well as chronic foot or hand pain, and numbness and tingling. In addition we recently added the Saebo Brace. This amazing device provides support to the wrist and hand for stroke victims who are unable to use their hand. It does require a certain amount of movement be present in the affected side including the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. However, given a little bit of movement it can produce significant results with increased hand usage and function for people who have had stroke problems that are long standing according to the manufacturer, even up to 10 years!
Also I think we offer a unique approach of one-on-one patient care. You do not feel like you are in a cattle call, every patient is treated one-on-one with either a Therapist or an Occupational Therapy Assistant on a daily basis. We’ve incorporated our pain management treatment to include some yoga stretching and modalities such as e-stim, ultra sound, Anodyne and low level laser as well as low back and cervical traction. This one stop shopping approach gives you a full range of services that can allow you to meet any of your needs from head to toe. Speaking of toes, we also do custom foot orthotics with custom fitting of your foot to fit your special needs and to reduce foot pain to increase the time on your feet doing the things you like to do.
In closing I just want to say how wonderful it has been and what a wonderful staff we now have that has allowed us to grow so successfully. Each and every one of the staff gives a personalized approach and dedication that goes beyond just showing up and punching the clock. They are dedicated individuals who really love their jobs. Please see the names and pictures below to see a roll call of true dedication that has earned my respect and admiration as owner and clinic director. They are a wonderful bunch!
If you or any of your loved ones have any issues with pain, peripheral neuropathy, rotator cuff problems, tennis elbow, wrist and hand issues; as well as foot and ankle pain please give us a call. Don’t let the grains of sand of your life pass you by while others are out having fun and enjoying life. Get back in the action again! Give us a call and try therapy first at Tri State Hand and Occupational Therapy. As we say you’ll come in a patient and leave a friend. Give us a call at 301-759-4263, you’ll be glad you did!
